Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that provides patrons with library materials that are not available within the Southern Tier Library System. The Alfred Box of Books Library participates in South Central Regional Library Council’s resource sharing as a member of the Southern Tier Library System.
Patrons can request books, media, journal articles and chapters of specific books.
We are not able to fill requests for textbooks, items published within the last year, items in special collections, popular or high-demand materials, or dissertations.
Due dates are determined by the lending library.
One renewal can be requested and is subject to approval of the owning library.
Turnaround time on requests depends on the location and method the owning library uses to ship materials. Requests received by the library will be submitted within 1-2 business days.
Patrons are responsible for paying for any lost or damaged items. The cost of these items is determined by the owning library.
