Alfred’s Public Library is dedicated to the principle that free access to the individual pursuit of knowledge is essential to the support and preservation of democracy.
The library strives to enhance the quality of life in this small rural area by:
- providing an open and nonjudgmental environment in which all people have access to cultural, educational, and recreational resources, programming and services and
- serving as a center of community interaction.
